How did you get your start in the industry?
I went to an open-call for Wallflower Management in Texas when I was 13.
What advice would you give a young model starting out?
I have three main tips. Be confident in yourself, even when you’re feeling down. Be kind to everyone, no matter who they are. Don’t take rejection personally. If you don’t book the job you were hoping for, remember, there’s always another opportunity around the corner.
Fun or interesting fact about you?
I participate in aerial fitness.
What are your top three favorite smells?
Fresh baked cookies, rain, and it’s a tie between roses and burgers.
If you had to be reincarnated as an animal, which would it be?
A hyena because I love to laugh.
Name the movie you’ve seen so many times you can almost recite it.
I don’t think there is any movie I’ve seen enough to recite it… maybe World War Z. I can recite The Office though.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be lots of different things, a singer, an actress, Simba from The Lion King…
If you could visit anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would it be?
A private tropical island with waterfalls and ocean caves. Somewhere I could both relax and explore.
What is the last thing you binge-watched?
Riverdale! I just finished watching it a few days ago and I can’t wait for the next season to start!
Favorite social media outlet and why?
Instagram. I don’t think I have ever met someone in the industry without one, so I think it’s the best place to post to get your work seen by the most people.
What would you name your boat if you had one?
Someone did a rap name generator for me once, and I got Phantom Destroyer. I think it sounds cool, like something out of Star Wars, so I’ll go with that.
If you had to change your name, what would your new name be, and why would you choose that name?
Either Vivian or Astrid. Vivian because it’s classic and pretty. Astrid because it’s cool and unique.
If You could write one new law that everyone had to obey, what law would you create?
A law that bans people from playing bad music when I’m around.
Describe your dream hair.
Bright blonde, beach wave hair that never has fly aways or split ends.
What is your favorite everyday go-to hairstyle?
I typically just brush it, then I’m out the door. If I want to do something extra, I’ll add some loose curls.
Biggest hair challenge?
Baby hairs. Every time I pull my hair up, I have these two little sections above my temples that never stay back.
What is the craziest thing you have ever done to your hair?
I don’t think I’ve ever done anything too crazy. I had it bleached earlier this year and once had a bob in 6th grade.
Most embarrassing hair moment?
After Australian fashion week, I was at a shoot and the hair stylist pointed out that I was missing a chunk of hair from my ends. I had no idea!
Do you have any favorite hair tools, products or treatments?
Curling wand, because I suck with curling irons.
What is your favorite hair trend?
I really like low pigtails with a few loose pieces and space buns. I don’t see people wear their hair like this super often so I think it’s cool and unique.
Any secret tips, styling tricks or home remedies you use on your hair?
Not sure if this is a styling secret, but I always brush my hair starting at the ends and working my way towards the roots. I find it’s the best way to avoid tangles.
